Northern Breezes Sailing Schools Duluth branch is located in the exciting twin ports of the Duluth Superior Harbor. We offer American Sailing Association (ASA) classes for Basic Keelboat (ASA 101), Basic Coastal Cruising (ASA 103), Bareboat Charter (ASA 104) and Advanced Coastal Cruising (ASA 106) certification. Over winter we also offer Coastal Navigation (ASA105). All of our classes are conducted out of Harbor Cove Marina in the beautiful city of Duluth, Minnesota.
We have a big season planned and one of the highlights is our entry into the 2013 running of the Trans Superior race from Sault St. Marie to Duluth. Northern Breezes is always represented in this race by Aerie from our parent school and this year Endeavour will be joining her in the Cruising Class. We are also offering our usual classes from basic keelboat through to Bareboat Charter and Advanced Coastal Cruising.
For the more laid back sailor or those just looking for some open water experience on the Great Lakes we offer flotilla's at the start and end of each season. To start off the season we ran the Spring flotilla over the Memorial Day weekend travelling to Cornucopia with 3 other sailing vessels. After an overnight stop we parted company and after considering weather headed back to Duluth. It was exciting sailing and definitely a new experience for some. We will be finishing the season in similar fashion with a trip to Bayfield over 2 to 3 days and then a return flotilla with the rest of the fleet. For more information click the link =>. More...
